I love this time of the year. From the trees leaves changing to the smell in the air. There is just something magical in the air to me. What I love most of all is Halloween. I am a adrenaline junkie so I love haunted houses. I get such a kick out of being scared half to death. I am unsure why I love being scared soo much but I do. The best part is in the end knowing that you are safe. That no matter how scary it is that in the end I know that everything will be over in 20 minutes .

I think that sometimes God will use scary moments to teach us that we need relied on Him. That in a short time it will be scary but with Him we will be safe.

Have fun this Halloween but remember that no matter how scary life is God will be there.

God bless

Time is something that we think we will always have. Honestly, we count down the days till the weekend or a vacation. At times we don’t put value in the days in between events that we are looking forward to. I know that I have wasted a lot of time in my life. I know that when I was in school I would count down the weeks till the end of the semester sometimes forgetting the time in between.

I decided that I would look up the word time and  I was surprised at all the definitions out there. Here are just a few that I got:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/time :

the system of those sequential relations that any event has to any other, as past, present, or future; indefinite and continuous duration regarded as that in which events succeed one another.

Duration regarded as belonging to the present life as distinct from the life to come or from eternity; finite duration.

(Sometimes initial capital letter ) a system or method of measuring or reckoning the passage of time: mean time; apparent time; Greenwich Time.

A limited period or interval, as between two successive events: a long time.

A particular period considered as distinct from other periods: Youth is the best time of life.

There are countless songs on the topic also. Time a thing that we value so much but waste so much of it. I am trying to view the time that I do have left as valuable. In all reality we don’t know when our time is up. I don’t want to look at my life and not appreciate all the time that I have had. In context of God, He wants us to live a life full of joy and happiness. I believe that he also doesn’t want us to waste time. He has given us enough time in our life to get everything that He wants us to do. Don’t waste the time that you have life sweating the small stuff but enjoying all the things that God has given you (even if it’s not much).

 God Bless,

As I have started to write a blog it has made me want to read other blogs. I know that other people write a much better blog than I. That is o.kay by me because I know that what I have to say is important. I have noticed a trend in blogs. There are all kinds of blogs on weight. I think that blogs on weight are important but this is the only blog on weight that I am going to write.  Blogs on weight kind of get on my nerves to be honest. I think that our society is just too focused on how we look.  There are surgeries to make you thinner, bigger boobs; you can change just about anything that you want about yourself.  Here is my question: Why? Why do we have to be a supermodel to be beautiful? I have never thought I was pretty enough or thin enough. I still have issues with my appearance.  As women it seems we all do. We feel that we can’t live up to the standards that have been placed on us.  A big emphasis has been placed on weight. I have seen girls at unhealthy weights (too thin) who want to lose more weight because that is what makes them feel pretty.  How sad is that.

Also have women we feel the need to compete with each other. We need to be the best looking out of all our friends. Why can’t we lift each other up instead of tearing each other down?

I have also seen girls that are bigger than they would like complain about their weight but won’t do a thing to change it. Honestly here is my solution to that: if you are unhappy with your weight then change it. I can’t stand to hear women whine that they are fat yet eat really unhealthy foods. Embrace who you are. You may not be built to be really thin and honestly it may look gross on you.  You have to embrace the way that God made you. He made you to look a certain way for a reason. I know it’s easier said than done. I have been overweight and whined about it. That only led me down a bad road of self-pity. I was no fun to my husband, my children or my friends. I have gotten thinner but I still feel fat. That is an issue I am working on and encourage you to do the same.

Here is what I think about weight.

You should be at a healthy weight, to avoid health problems. What your healthy weight is not the same as everybody else.

You should change your weight for yourself and not anybody else. That includes your spouse.

You should love who you are and not what you look like.

God doesn’t see our outward appearance but looks in our hearts. We are all beautiful to God! We should focus on our inward beauty and that will show in our outward appearance.
